What is Hematology?
Hematology encompasses the study of red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, and the organs that produce them — primarily the bone marrow and lymphatic system.
Blood disorders can affect how oxygen is carried through the body, how the immune system fights infection, or how blood clots and heals.
