Types of Breast Cancer We Treat

Our specialists provide medical oncology care for all major subtypes, including:

  • Hormone receptor-positive breast cancer (ER+ / PR+)

  • HER2-positive or HER2-low breast cancer

  • Triple-negative breast cancer

  • Metastatic or recurrent breast cancer

Treatment decisions are guided by detailed pathology and biomarker testing in coordination with your surgical and diagnostic care teams.

Medical Oncology Treatments for Breast Cancer

Chemotherapy

Used before or after surgery, or for advanced disease, chemotherapy helps destroy cancer cells and reduce the risk of recurrence. Treatments are administered in our on-site infusion suites under continuous nursing supervision.

Hormone (Endocrine) Therapy

For hormone receptor-positive breast cancers, we use oral or injectable medications that lower or block estrogen activity, reducing the risk of cancer returning. Endocrine therapy is often part of long-term management and survivorship follow-up.

Targeted Therapy

Patients with HER2-positive or HER2-low breast cancers may benefit from targeted therapies that block HER2 growth signals. These medications are chosen based on precise tumor profiling and may include monoclonal antibodies or antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) designed specifically for HER2-driven cancers.

Immunotherapy

For select patients with triple-negative breast cancer, immunotherapy may be incorporated to help the immune system recognize and attack tumor cells. Eligibility is based on PD-L1 testing and other biomarkers.
